That's what I say to customers who try to make me angry. I hate when they bitch me out for stuff that isn't my fault. They're uneducated because they think that because I am a cashier at that particular grocery store, therefore I control prices of everything in stock and it's my fault that their spatula came up $3.99 instead of $2.99. Hm. This is why I firmly believe that people should graduate high school and go to university.

And believe me, it gets worse. When I put returns back, all these middle aged women ask if I can call someone to help them lift something heavy into their cart... Like a case of 24 bottled water. They think that because I happen to be femme that I am unable to do it. And when I help them they're like "Oh, watch your back. Don't hurt yourself," like I'm some crippled 90 year old woman! I know they don't want to see me get hurt cause that'd suck but it was rather rude of one woman who told me I couldn't help her lift the water into her cart simply because I am female , like c'mon, it's no longer the 1800's. Woman, man, doesn't matter. In this day and age we should have outgrown sexism already.

But the absolute worst part of my job, and I do mean worst, is when I get creepy men hitting on me. I was stocking the magazine racks one time and this man in his 40's (dirty looking guy with a gross moustache) was like "Ya just stocking the shelves? I like the way you do it. Mmm. Stock 'em, baby," and I started freaking.

I wrote this simply because I want everyone to know that grocery stores are a hassle. Never work at one.
